What is a Student Ambassador
As Student Ambassadors, successful applicants will have a wide range of opportunities to engage with such as Undergraduate and Postgraduate Open Days, Calling Campaigns, digital Marketing and so much more.
Student Ambassadors play a huge role in our events; responsible for ensuring that visitors to the University receive a high quality and enjoyable experience, representing the University in a variety of roles and showing prospective students and parents around the University on organised campus tours.
Moreover, in the last few years the Student Ambassador Scheme has provided immeasurable support to university during the Pandemic such as manning the Covid Testing Centers and Catering outlets on Campus. The role is very diverse and new opportunities are generated every year for Ambassadors to take part in.
There are many reasons to become a Student Ambassador at Swansea University:
- Paid Student Ambassador Scheme with full training provided while gaining valuable experience to enhance your CV
- Meet new people and represent Swansea University at various events; with opportunities for paid work with departments across the University.
- Attend regular socials throughout the Academic Year.
- Opportunity to apply for promotion to Senior Student Ambassador after a year as a Student Ambassador.
- Opportunity to apply for the Digital Content Creator scheme to create social media for the university such as vlogs, TikToks and blogs.
- Work towards the Student Ambassador Award and WoWee Accreditation with Swansea Employability Academy and/or the Welsh-medium Academi Hywel Teifi Award which, on completion, are recognised on your HEAR Certificate at Graduation.
