Examinations

If you do not pass a module at the first attempt, you may be required to sit a supplementary examinations. These are in-person only – remote sittings are not available – and attendance is compulsory.

If you fail a module, you must be available to sit your resit exam in person during the relevant period.

These dates are fixed and cannot be rearranged around personal plans.

Top Tips

• Make a note of both the main exam dates and the supplementary exam periods.
• Factor these into your travel, family, work, and holiday plans early.
• Remember that there may be additional costs for travel (and possibly accommodation in Swansea) if you need to sit supplementary assessments.
• Speak to your personal tutor if you are unsure how this may affect you.

The supplementary examination period for home students runs from the 3rd of August 2026 to 14th of August 2026.
