You’ve got your Canvas access and module guides, but what next? This interactive session will cover key skills and resources on a) how to access and engage with the readings for your module, b) how to use the readings to plan and write your assignments, and c) what the rise of AI means for your assessments. The session will also introduce you to Swansea’s Centre for Academic Success, which is freely available to you and offers a range of additional resources to maximise your results.
Please bring a laptop (or a phone if you do not have a laptop) and a pen and paper for this session

14:00 - 17:00 Sandcastles and Pizza Social (History, American Studies, Classics Only)
Wales is home to more castles per square mile (*) than anywhere on the planet. So what better thing for the History, Heritage, and Classics department to do on a sandy beach than to have a sandcastle building competition?! Join us to meet other students and lecturers, eat free pizza, and recreate some historic buildings in sand. Buckets, spades and pizza will be supplied, but please bring your own drinks. We’ll be on the beach immediately in front of the Swansea Cenotaph, and will return to Singleton Campus for pizza later in the session.
