Funding
Make sure you are receiving all the funding you are entitled to.
- Supplementary funding is available to those accessing the full support package with specific circumstances such as being a parent or a carer or having a disability. Criteria does apply and some funding is means-tested. More information can be accessed via Student Finance Wales and Student Finance England.
- If you are accessing NHS funding, you can also receive a non-means tested reduced rate loan from Student Finance. How much you receive is determined by whether you access Student Finance Wales or Student Finance England - this is assessed by where you are ordinarily resident. You can find more information on our NHS funding webpage.
- You can apply for a current year income assessment with your funding provider if you think your household income this tax year will be at least 15% lower than the year you’ve been asked to give details about. You can contact Money@CampusLife for more information.

Money@CampusLife bursaries & special payments
Money@CampusLife administer bursaries and special payments for the following groups:
- Care Leavers
- Estranged students
- Carers
- Students that are pregnant

Swansea University Scholarships
Swansea University offers a range of academic, departmental and excellence scholarships and bursaries for undergraduate, postgraduate and international students. Criteria applies for all.
Government Benefits
If you're ordinarily resident in the UK you may be able to claim some benefits. Some full-time UK students as well as all part-time UK students may have access to state benefits such as Jobseeker's Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Universal Credit or Housing Benefit.

Part-time work
Getting a part-time job is a great way to supplement your income while you study at Swansea University.
Swansea Employability Academy organise regular empolyability events to help students search, prepare and apply for part-time work.
There are also opportunities to work within the university with the Student Ambassador Scheme and the Student's Union.
Sell unused/unwanted things
If you have things you no longer want, need and/or use, then you could consider selling them to make a little cash. You will declutter and make a contribution to sustainability.
