Laundrette & Other Facilities

The laundrette at Bay Campus is located opposite the Sports Hall, between Llansteffan and Cardigan buildings. The room is accessible via use of your access key card.

Opening times: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Get started

1. Download the Washstation app from the App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery.
2. Follow the prompts to create an account
3. Choose the washer or dryer and select the relevant options displayed
4. You have the option to reserve a washer for 10 mins from anywhere
5. Proceed with payment using a debit/credit card

Using the machines

1. Load machine with washing – 3/4 full is maximum capacity
2. If you are washing, add your detergent to the drum and close door
3. Select a wash cycle or drying programme on the machine to start
4. You’ll receive an email to notify you that the cycle is ending

The launderette on Singleton Park Campus is located on the ground floor to the rear of Kilvey building.
Opening times: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You should download the Circuit Go app to set-up, use and pay for your laundry.
You can also pay as you go using contactless with your card, phone, or smartwatch.

The Common Rooms are located in Gruffydd, Bere and Dulais buildings.

The Common Rooms are a multi-purpose space that can be used for: socialising, studying, film nights, pool / table tennis / table football competitions or just relaxing with fellow residents. Table tennis bats and balls and pool cues are available from the Accommodation Reception. You will find comfy seats, a television and game tables. Residents can access the full Wi-Fi services within the Common Room.

Opening Times

The Common Rooms are open access until 5pm weekdays; no booking required. After this time, you must book in advance to use the space from Reception.

Gym

Located on the ground floor, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Featuring cardio & free weights and basketball half-court.

Bar and Terrace

Perfect for catching up with friends. Bookable at Reception.

Outdoor Courtyard

Relax, play games, study or soak up the sun in the private landscaped courtyard.

Study Spaces & Meeting Rooms

Whether you prefer quiet corners or collaborative workstations, our comfortable chairs, ample lighting, and high-speed Wi-Fi create the perfect environment for focused study sessions.

Cefn Bryn Common Room

The recently refurbished Common Room is located on the ground floor of Cefn Bryn building.

The Common Room is a multi-purpose space that can be used for: socialising, studying, playing table tennis, film nights or just relaxing with fellow residents. Residents can use the TV and access the full Wi-Fi services within the Common Room.

Opening Times

The Common Room is open access, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. No booking is needed.

Outside of these times, for access to the room, you should make an advance booking using the online Booking Form.

• A single key card will be issued to the group organiser, upon approval of the booking, and must be collected and returned from Preseli Reception.
• Failure to return the key card will result in a £10.00 charge for its replacement.

Bike/Surf Wash Area

We understand that you love to explore the great outdoors and engage in activities such as biking and surfing, which is why we have provided you with an outdoor washing area for your convenience. This area is equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment to clean your bikes and surfboards after a long day of adventure.

So next time you're out and about, don't forget to swing by our outdoor washing area at the back of Cefn Bryn residence to give your gear the TLC it deserves!

Festival Zone

The “Festival Zone” is the place to be if you want to hang out with friends, meet new people or just want time out from your room! The Festival Zone is central to life at true.

Pop down for a game of ping pong, listen to music, join in a “true life” event, watch TV, socialise or study…there’s plenty of space to enjoy!

UTime Fitness Gym

• Our gym is located in Block 3 and is open 24/7.
• Only named tenants are permitted to use the facility.
• To ensure you understand how to use the equipment safely, you will have to complete a gym induction prior to access being granted.
• We will also require a Par-Q form to be complete in advance.
• We will then code your room key to permit access to the gym. Please discuss this with a true team member at the Welcome desk.
• Our gym equipment is not permitted to be removed from the gym and we ask that you respect both the equipment and other gym users, whilst using the facility.

Come Dine Kitchen

Our Come Dine kitchen can be booked out for private use to cook, host a dinner party or celebrate with friends. You can also use this space if you just fancy a change from cooking in your room.

You are responsible for ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and all equipment is accounted for after use.

Visit the Welcome desk to make a booking (subject to availability).

Lounges

Space is important! We believe you need space outside of your living area to unwind, socialise or study. Our lounges are communal spaces that can be used for a variety of different things. Your key will allow you access to these areas and the freedom to come and go as you please.

You may be able to book these areas for private use (subject to availability). Visit the Welcome desk to discuss your requirements.

Cinema Room

Grab the popcorn, we have our own onsite cinema room, complete with comfortable seating! Join us at one of our movie nights, binge watch the latest Netflix series or arrange a movie night with some friends...

You can also book the cinema for private use, visit the Welcome desk to make a booking (subject to availability).

Download the Uni Food Hub app and create an account using your ‘@swansea.ac.uk’ email address to get started.

How to use your e-wallet within Uni Food Hub

• Once your account has been activated (please allow up to 5 working days from when you check in for the credit to display on your account), access your allowance through the e-wallet function.
• Your account will display your first month of credit. Subsequent months credit will be uploaded in monthly intervals.
• There are no set dining times – you may spend your allowance as and when you wish.
• Unspent credit will be automatically rolled over for use during your subsequent year of study at the University, if applicable.
• If you move out of your part-catered residence, finish your studies and / or leave the University, your funds will be cancelled, and any remaining allowance will be lost.
