By taking part in the Show Flat Scheme, you’ll help prospective students and their families see what it’s really like to live in Swansea University accommodation—just like you may have done before arriving.
What You’ll Do
• Keep your room and shared areas clean, tidy, and ready to view
• Leave your bedroom door open during scheduled Open Days
• Welcome visitors and allow them to look around your flat
• Share your experience of living in the accommodation
What’s Expected
• Communal areas and bedrooms must be:
o Clean
o Free from rubbish and trip hazards
o Presentable at all times during viewings
• You and your flatmates share responsibility for communal spaces
• Your room must be open and accessible during the full event
What You’ll Get
• £15 per event for taking part
• Extra cleaning support:
o Friday: Full communal clean
o Saturday morning: Light touch clean before visitors arrive
Important to Know
• If your room is not open or you don’t take part fully, payment won’t be made
• Do not leave your room unlocked if you are not present
• If you can’t attend, you must tell us in advance
• If you’re regularly unavailable, you may be moved out of the scheme
