Congratulations on securing a place to study at Swansea University

Croeso/ Welcome

As Programme Director I would like to welcome you on behalf of the course team to the MSc Enhanced Professional Practice.  We look forward to meeting you during induction week, and hope you enjoy your work based learning experience with us. We hope you enjoy the course, learn from the modules, and enhance your professional practice.

What can you expect from the course team?

The opportunity to choose what you learn and how you learn it. You will have a named personal tutor for the duration of your course who will facilitate your learning through in person, online, or telephone supervision. Your personal tutor will give you timely academic supervision and feedback on draft components of your module portfolio.

We have a broad range of innovative online learning resources to help you develop your critical analysis, critical reflection, and critical thinking skills.

We host monthly hybrid action learning opportunities where you meet other students on the course to discuss clinical or academic issues in a supportive, problem solving way.

We can support and signpost you to university teams and services when/if you need them.

What can the course team expect from you?

Your engagement with academic supervision and assessment deadlines to allow you to submit completed portfolio work for assessment.

Your engagement with online learning resources and action learning opportunities to help you develop your critical analysis skills, and to learn from the work based learning ethos of the course.

For you to tell your personal tutor or the programme director if you are experiencing any issues or concerns which could prevent you from completing your studies.
