Meet other students on Social Policy joint-honours programmes and Social Policy academic staff.

12:00-1:30pm  Programme Welcome Session (Lecture Room B, Third Floor, Fulton House) **Compulsory**

Meet your coursemates for the first time along with your Programme Director, who will introduce your programme of study, provide key academic information and direct you to course resources.

2:00-3:30pm Department Induction Session Part 1 (Lecture Room C, Third Floor, Fulton House) **Compulsory**

In this session you will find out more information about your course and how you’ll study. You’ll start to get to know your coursemates and get settled into your learning community.

11:00am-1:00pm  Department Coffee and Biscuits (Room 303, Third Floor, Keir Hardie Building)

An informal chance for students to pop in and meet teaching staff and other students in the Department over a hot drink and biscuits.

9:00-4:00pm  Personal Tutor Meetings (Room 230, 2nd Floor, Keir Hardie Building) **Compulsory**

During this session, you will meet your Personal Tutor group for the first time! Your Personal Tutor will be in contact via email to let you know the specific time and location for your meeting.

Your Personal Tutor will be in touch arrange regular meetings throughout the year, and will be able to support you with a range of queries including; signposting to pastoral support, academic guidance, employability and more. You can find out who your tutor is and their contact details by logging into your individual Intranet page, under Course Details > Course Contacts.

10:00-11:00am BSc Criminology and Psychology and BSc Sociology and Psychology Joint-Honours Session (Seminar Room 039, Ground Floor, Talbot Building) **Compulsory for BSc Criminology and Psychology and BSc Sociology and Psychology students only**

A chance for you as Joint Honours Psychology students to get to know staff from your other subject area and ask any subject-specific questions.

**This sessions applies to Joint Honours Psychology students on the below programmes only:**

• Criminology and Psychology
• Sociology and Psychology

10:00am-12:00pm  Department Induction Session Part 2 (Lecture Room C, Third Floor, Fulton House) **Compulsory**

This session will follow on from Part 1 of your Induction, and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions and hear from senior students within the Department about what they wish they knew when they were in your shoes!
